Baking Bread

A lot goes into the French baguettes we bake here at Radish. We bake them using the traditional French method with high-quality bread flour and kneaded with lots of love to produce crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside bread.

We use for our Shrimp Po’ Boy (below), French Toast, and the heirloom BLT. 

So come on down and take a bite out of some of this good stuff

Our Summer Menu is Here!

We’re celebrating the beautiful heirloom tomatoes that are in season during these summer months by making July our official Tomato Month here at Radish. 

We went to the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market this weekend to kick off the festivities. First we have our seriously refreshing, all-organic Heirloom Tomato Salad with goat cheddar cheese, arugula, and summer squash. 

Next up we’ll be serving our BLT with those juicy heirloom tomatoes, plus a soon-to-come gazpacho soup.

Global Service Corps at Radish

Global Service Corps is an international volunteer service-learning and community development organization based out of San Francisco. They focus on projects dealing with sustainable agriculture, food security education and development, and public health in developing countries. 

One of the most pressing issues in the world today is food security, a global health problem causing malnutrition and undernourishment. As the population exponentially increases so must our food supply. Global Service Corps is one of many organizations dedicated to tackling this issue. They will be launching a Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security Pilot Project in impoverished rural areas of Cambodia, one of the most food insecure countries in the region. The goal of the project will be to stabilize food supply through community development, education, and training. Brian Reyes will be traveling to Cambodia in July ‘11 in order to facilitate. He will be establishing a community garden, educating community leaders about sustainable agriculture, and building relationships with community leaders/farmers in order to perpetuate the existence of the program. 

From June-July ‘11 Radish will be partnering with Global Service Corps to aid with fundraising for this project. Come dine at Radish to help with the future of the world food supply. We thank you in advance for any support. Check out their website to be further educated. www.globalservicecorps.org
